A robot manufacturing enterprise in Anhui Province, China, originally adopted a coating scheme using solvent-based epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat. Due to increasingly strict environmental policies, the client intended to switch to water-based coatings. However, the single coat thickness of water-based coatings was relatively low, and achieving the coating target required multiple spraying processes, which significantly increased the coating time and reduced production efficiency. After testing the solvent-free solution of BSC Company, since the solvent-free polysiloxane coating has a higher single coat film thickness and can achieve thickness in one layer, the original 2-3 coating processes were simplified to one, thereby greatly improving production efficiency. After testing, the one-coat coating of DTM fully met the original design performance requirements, and thus received unanimous praise from the client.
